DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Excelra Knowledge Solutions Private Limited is looking for a skilled and seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer with over 6 years of practical experience to join their innovative team in Hyderabad. The candidate will take charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps pipelines and infrastructure that enhance the efficiency and reliability of application deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and microservices.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
• Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure on Azure to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Leverage containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, with added advantage for experience in ECS or EKS.
• Maintain strong security measures including use of IAM Roles and Key Management Services (KMS).
• Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Serverless Application Model (SAM) is beneficial.
• Troubleshoot and manage large-scale distributed systems with a focus on production and lower environments (Development, QA, Testing).
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment processes and automate workflows.
• Continuously monitor system performance, proactively resolve issues, and uphold compliance best practices.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing and skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable professional experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in DevOps or related roles, combining software development and systems administration expertise.
• Hands-on proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) tools.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience owning end-to-end production deployment processes.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing services in Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Knowledge of AI application deployment and integration, including modernization of AI-centric solutions.
• Strong skills in automation, monitoring, and operational best practices for deployment pipelines.
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD methodologies and experience using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Expertise with infrastructure automation in Azure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms like Prometheus, ELK Stack, and Datadog.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing paradigms.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and principles.
