Job description
Position Summary
The International Hotel School's Johannesburg campus seeks a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator. This role involves managing student placements during their WIL periods, monitoring their progress through property visits, and supporting students by providing counseling and disciplinary oversight. Additionally, the coordinator will be tasked with establishing new partnerships with hospitality properties to expand placement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and manage placements for students during their WIL terms.
- Visit student placement sites to monitor progress and performance.
- Provide student support services including counseling and discipline management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitality properties to secure future placement avenues.
Requirements
- Completed Honors degree in Hospitality Management.
- Proficiency in relevant computer software and strong administrative skills.
- High computer literacy.
- Orientation towards student support and welfare.
- Understanding of hospitality industry processes and disciplinary codes.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
- Experience within the education sector is advantageous.
- Possession of valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Well-established network within the hospitality industry.
