Job Overview
Embark on a career journey as a Warehouse Clerk with Pomerleau, where you will play a vital role in managing the flow of materials and goods essential to our construction projects valued between $1.5 million and over $1 billion. Collaborate closely with multiple logistics teams to ensure efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of items across various sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, count, weigh, sort, verify, classify, pack, and unpack goods from suppliers, offices, and construction sites, including tools, parts, consumables, and materials.
- Organize and store goods systematically to maintain easy accessibility and preserve quality.
- Handle merchandise requests and prepare shipments for distribution to sites or suppliers.
- Use equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts to load and unload goods.
- Maintain inventory records and filing systems manually or digitally.
- Generate and submit orders for inventory replenishment.
- Offer informed recommendations on warehouse stock, including tools and products.
- Complete shipping documentation and tracking.
- Label and identify tools and equipment stored in the warehouse.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and stock assessments.
- Ensure measuring equipment complies with ISO standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a DES, ASP, and/or DEP certificate in a relevant discipline.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience in roles such as inventory management, parts clerk, storekeeping, or tool rental.
- Exhibit strong adaptability, autonomy, and a collaborative spirit.
- Demonstrate rigor, methodical work habits, and meticulous attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications
- Training in WHMIS or the transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts or aerial lift platforms is a plus.
