STEM Data Annotator

Role overview

This is an hourly contract opportunity for a STEM specialist to work remotely on content analysis and educational data tasks. The engagement pays between $30 and $40 per hour and is expected to require about 10 to 40 hours each week.

Key responsibilities

• Review images and videos to pull out important STEM ideas and detailed academic insights.
• Create challenging, high-quality questions that require strong subject knowledge.
• Organize, label, and route content accurately so work can move through the workflow efficiently.
• Work with teams across functions to maintain consistent, high-quality content.
• Use research and data analysis to guide content creation and improvement.
• Incorporate modern teaching approaches and educational technology into the work.
• Support teammates, provide guidance when needed, and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in at least one STEM field.
• Background in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Strong reasoning, analysis, and critical-thinking ability.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setup.
• Experience using educational technology or digital tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and take on project leadership responsibilities.
