Role Overview

As a Solutions Architect at Databricks based in Auckland, you will play a critical role in advancing the company's mission to make data science and analytics accessible and actionable for businesses. You will apply your technical knowledge to showcase how Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform can address complex data challenges, working closely with a collaborative and innovation-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to formulate and execute customer engagement plans within your assigned territory.
• Mentor junior Solutions Architects, guiding them on use case prioritization and developing technical advocates.
• Engage with stakeholders across organizational levels and integrate within the broader cloud ecosystem and third-party applications to promote Databricks' vision.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and expert architect for significant data analytics implementations using the Databricks platform.
• Enhance the technical community by creating customer-facing materials and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
• Pursue growth opportunities across specialized technical paths, industry leadership, strategic customer visioning, or team management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience managing complex technical pre-sales engagements and customer interactions.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and coordinate cross-functional teams for sustained customer success.
• Proficiency in at least one core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala, and a desire to acquire foundational knowledge in Apache Spark.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with complex proof-of-concept projects and familiarity with public cloud platforms.
• Skill in delivering tailored technical solutions and navigating competitive market environments.
