About the Team
The Accounts & Identity team focuses on creating scalable client and Java-based backend systems that securely connect PlayStation users to the social and entertainment platforms they love. The team aims to deliver a seamless, secure, and reliable unified experience enriched with high safety, performance, and availability.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software components.
- Create solutions that are straightforward, maintainable, well-structured, and thoroughly tested.
- Conduct detailed requirement analysis and participate in design and code reviews collaboratively with peers.
- Manage personal project priorities, schedules, and deliverables utilizing technical expertise.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including operational incidents, efficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent qualifications with over 3 years of practical Java development experience, preferably in Reactive Java and backend web services using the Spring Boot framework.
- Strong expertise in frontend development with React Native, React Native for Web, and React Web.
- Solid experience working with GraphQL technologies, including both Apollo Client and GraphQL-compliant server implementations.
- Proven capability in building mobile and desktop applications targeting iOS, Android, and PC platforms.
- Desirable knowledge of Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
- Familiarity with deploying services on AWS EC2 or EKS environments using Docker containers.
- Comfortable developing applications on Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Experience with servlet containers (e.g., Tomcat), JAX-RS, Spring, and Spring Boot technologies.
- Skilled in developing RESTful web services with JSON and XML data formats.
- Experience working under agile development methodologies and understanding continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with operational and development tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Jenkins, JIRA, and Git.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results proactively overcoming challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels and across diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong commitment to quality and ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Compensation and Benefits
SIE offers a competitive compensation package evaluated based on market benchmarks and geographic considerations. The estimated base salary range for this position is €69,500 to €104,300 EUR. Compensation is influenced by factors such as skills, knowledge, experience, and location within SIE’s hybrid work model. Benefits include paid time off, wellness programs, exclusive employee discounts on Sony products, and eligibility for performance bonus programs.
