Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Singapore, focused on building and delivering modern web applications. This role involves prototyping new technologies, designing robust system architectures, writing high-quality production code, and managing deployments to cloud and occasionally on-premise infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes to showcase new technology possibilities
• Architect system designs for scalable applications
• Implement production-grade code following best practices
• Handle deployments primarily on cloud platforms with occasional on-premise setups
• Collaborate and share knowledge with a diverse, multidisciplinary team

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Strong experience with modern JavaScript web applications (ES5/6) is essential
• Proficient in creating and maintaining APIs using Node.js is highly desirable
• Experience with front-end development using React.js is advantageous
• Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Karma, Mocha, Chai, and Sinon is a plus
• Knowledge of database management including relational and non-relational systems and data handling across environments
• Experience with feature testing using Selenium-based frameworks is beneficial
• Experience with modern tooling such as Webpack and Gulp is appreciated
• Understanding of Docker containerization, CI/CD pipeline development, and deployments on AWS, Platform-as-a-Service, or private clouds is a bonus
• Exposure to Agile software development lifecycle and Scrum practices is favorable
• Minimum of two years’ experience or equivalent proficiency working with modern JavaScript web applications
