About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator/Architect to design, manage, and enhance the Snowflake Data Cloud platform supporting AI-powered data solutions. The position involves utilizing Snowflake's AI capabilities to develop large language model functionalities for advanced data processing and creating secure, scalable integrations with diverse external data sources.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and oversee the Snowflake Data Cloud infrastructure.
- Leverage Snowflake AI features to facilitate large language model deployment for processing data.
- Develop and refine data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate external datasets.
- Manage Snowflake warehouses, user roles, permissions, security policies, and optimize system performance.
- Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines tailored for Snowflake environments and data workflows.
- Automate infrastructure and manage cloud environments efficiently.
- Monitor Snowflake operations, data pipelines, and cloud resource utilization to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
- Implement comprehensive logging, alerting mechanisms, and monitoring systems for data platforms.
- Enforce data quality standards, governance, security measures, and compliance across all solutions.
- Work collaboratively with data scientists, machine learning engineers, DevOps personnel, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable artificial intelligence solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Snowflake Administrator or Architect.
- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake components such as warehouses, access roles, resource monitors, data sharing, and Snowpipe.
- Experience with AI/ML pipeline integration within Snowflake or similar platforms.
- Proficient in SQL; working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration methodologies.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of infrastructure monitoring, logging, and performance tuning techniques.
- Strong grasp of data governance principles, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements.
