Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer

Job Overview

Master Works is looking for an expert Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and maintaining IT infrastructure systems to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and upkeep of servers, systems, network components, and overall infrastructure environments.
• Continuously monitor system health, including performance metrics, availability, and resource capacity.
• Configure, administer, and resolve issues in both Windows and Linux operating environments.
• Handle management of virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, data backups, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Apply and enforce security controls and best practices for IT infrastructure.
• Address and troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure technical problems promptly.
• Support and contribute to infrastructure-related projects such as system upgrades and migrations.
• Create, update, and manage comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with IT, security, and application teams to maintain dependable service delivery.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of five years’ practical experience in systems and infrastructure engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in Windows and Linux system administration along with strong networking knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization frameworks and cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with implementing backup solutions, monitoring tools, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure security measures and industry best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
