Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack, will contribute to the Grab Support Experience team that creates systems enhancing support for consumers, drivers, and merchants. The position involves full-stack development using React, TypeScript, and Golang to build scalable APIs, microservices, and user workflows supporting Help Centre and related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Golang, and internal platform tools.
• Lead end-to-end technical design and implementation for support-related applications and services.
• Build reliable, scalable microservices incorporating downstream system integration and critical operations support.
• Create maintainable, accessible frontend experiences tailored for users, agents, and internal support teams.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, data scientists, QA teams, and engineers to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure production readiness through monitoring, alerting, documentation, and quality releases.
• Participate in incident management including on-call support, root cause analysis, and prevention efforts.
• Use diagnostic tools such as Datadog and Kibana to troubleshoot and enhance system reliability.
• Advance testing protocols encompassing unit, integration, user acceptance, and end-to-end layers, contributing to quality metrics.
• Provide code reviews, mentorship, and raise engineering standards across the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Over 4 years of professional experience in software engineering with substantial full-stack development background.
• Proficient in React and TypeScript for frontend production applications, and Golang for backend services and microservices.
• Sound knowledge of distributed systems, API/service design, data modeling, and managing reliability concerns.
• Experience leading independently technical design and delivering projects from conception to deployment.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development practices including usage of coding agents and large language model APIs.
• Expertise in writing maintainable and testable code with strong testing frameworks.
• Skilled in debugging across frontend, backend, logs, metrics, and production environments.
• Strong sense of ownership with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Capability to mentor engineers and improve team development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Temporal or similar workflow orchestration systems.
• Experience in creating AI-powered support automation, agent assist tools, chatbots, or intelligent self-service products.
• Background with ticketing, Help Centre, CRM, or customer support platforms.
