Position Overview
This Project Administrator role is a crucial part of the State Projects team, responsible for delivering accurate, competitive, and timely project pricing through a thorough, systematic approach. The position also involves fostering successful project outcomes and supporting the network to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review, interpret, and generate customer quote requests, ensuring professionalism and timely submission.
- Engage with customers and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in specifications or drawings for favorable results.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with manufacturers and sales representatives to achieve competitive and prompt pricing.
- Work closely with management teams to establish cost and selling prices that optimize profit margins.
- Strive to improve the project conversion rate to meet departmental objectives.
- Verify specifications and quantities against orders post-project acquisition.
- Utilize CRM systems fully to track and manage opportunity-related activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent general education degree.
- Experience in project quoting, estimating, or related roles is advantageous.
- Background in electrical wholesaling, trades, or building/construction industries, along with related qualifications, is highly valued.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially advanced capabilities in MS Excel and MS Project.
- Excellent customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, capable of multitasking while maintaining organization.
- Business savvy with the creativity to think innovatively.
- Ability to work independently and set achievable goals.
