Job Summary

The Housekeeper on the second shift is tasked with maintaining cleanliness in all designated staff areas. Responsibilities include waste removal from lunch and break rooms, laundering plant floor frocks, and managing cleaning supply inventories. All duties are performed in line with company policies and safety standards.

Work Hours & Compensation

This is a full-time remote role on the second shift, from 8 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Thursday. Compensation is $16 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential.

Primary Duties

• Use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Operate floor scrubbing equipment and laundry machines (washer and dryer).
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Clean floors, walls, windows, lunchrooms, and restrooms thoroughly.
• Fold cleaned frocks properly.
• Ensure start-up readiness and proper functioning of equipment.
• Follow production schedules and meet specified targets.
• Verify product specifications and correct labeling for disposition.
• Monitor machine workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Accurately document produced materials and resources used.
• Propose continuous improvements to enhance support activities quality.
• Take on varied tasks as assigned by supervisors based on business needs.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED and have prior housekeeping experience, especially in plant or industrial settings.

Additional Information

Starting pay ranges from $13.50 to $18.57 per hour depending on factors such as market, location, and candidate qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) participation, paid holidays, and time off.

Physical Demands

The role involves regular standing, walking, hand use, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and close vision tasks. Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.

Work Environment

Work occurs in a plant and office setting with varying temperatures and noise, exposure to manufacturing equipment, wet and slippery floors, and may require travel.
