Role Overview
This full-time on-site position in Kildare involves supporting tree surgery and arboricultural activities by preparing and maintaining work areas, assisting with groundworks, organizing tools and equipment, and ensuring safe zones on active tree sites. Daily duties include aiding tree planting and removal, basic landscaping tasks, site clearance, restoration of work sites, and safe direction of machinery and vehicle movement under supervision. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, correct use of personal protective equipment, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and close cooperation with tree surgeons, supervisors, and team members to deliver compliant and quality services.
Requirements
- Possession of relevant construction safety certifications such as CSCS Card, indicating knowledge of on-site health and safety standards.
- Familiarity and practical involvement with trees, including basic care, maintaining safe distances, and supporting arboricultural operations.
- Experience in groundworks including site preparation, excavation assistance, and maintaining safe and tidy work environments.
- Exposure to landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, turfing, and routine landscape upkeep.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving manual handling, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong safety awareness, willingness to follow instructions strictly, and consistent use of PPE.
- Dependable punctuality, teamwork capability, and effective communication with supervisors and colleagues.
- Having a full driving license and personal transport is advantageous; prior experience in arboriculture, grounds maintenance, or construction is preferred.
