Job Overview
We seek an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead strategic initiatives in application portfolio rationalization, cloud readiness assessments, and modernization roadmaps for a prominent global insurance group. The role demands managing executive-level relationships and driving transformation programs across multiple affiliates.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain robust executive relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Architects, and Technology Leaders at ERGO and its subsidiaries.
- Lead discovery processes including application portfolio rationalization, cloud readiness evaluations, and define comprehensive modernization roadmaps.
- Perform detailed application assessments to recommend strategies such as retention, retirement, rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or replacement.
- Champion Application Portfolio Rationalization (APR) initiatives across 26+ ERGO affiliates, converting evaluation outcomes into actionable transformation programs.
- Obtain and manage cloud incentives and funding from programs including Microsoft Moonshot, Azure funding, AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), and AWS Well-Architected Tool (WALT).
- Organize and lead customer-focused workshops, architecture reviews, develop business cases, and deliver executive-level presentations.
- Collaborate effectively with sales, consulting, cloud, and delivery teams to expand and enhance the ERGO portfolio.
- Provide authoritative technical governance and architectural leadership for cloud modernization projects.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in IT consulting, enterprise architecture, or IT modernization.
- Profound knowledge and hands-on expertise in Application Portfolio Rationalization (APR), Enterprise Architecture frameworks, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
- Proven skills in cloud migration strategies, technical debt evaluation, application assessments, and comprehensive business case and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong orientation towards customer-facing consulting and stakeholder engagement.
- Prior experience in the insurance or financial services sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
