Job Overview
This is a full-time position based in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence. The Delivery Driver is tasked with operating company vehicles safely to collect and deliver goods promptly to customers and business locations. Responsibilities include planning delivery routes, loading and unloading cargo, verifying delivery paperwork, and confirming successful deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles adhering strictly to safety and traffic rules.
- Efficiently plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Load and unload packages carefully, sometimes operating forklifts in warehouse settings.
- Review and manage delivery documents, receipts, and confirmations accurately.
- Interact professionally with customers while handling basic payment or delivery acknowledgments.
- Report any vehicle issues, delays, or delivery concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and support warehouse or loading teams as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively and represent the company positively during deliveries.
- Competency in forklift operation for safe handling of goods in loading areas.
- Ability to quickly learn and follow safety and delivery protocols.
- Experience in sales and food & beverage sectors is advantageous for product handling and order confirmation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and thorough knowledge of Jiddah road networks and regulations.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages safely under various weather and traffic conditions.
- Basic literacy and record-keeping skills to handle delivery documentation.
- Prior experience in delivery or logistics is a plus but not mandatory.
