Position Overview

The Data Scientist will lead descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics across various ofi business operations including manufacturing, procurement, sales, consumer insights, sustainability, trading, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to analyze extensive or complex datasets, uncover patterns, and develop algorithms that provide actionable insights.
• Design and deploy machine learning models tailored to address intricate business challenges, involving algorithm selection, feature engineering, model training, and performance assessment.
• Apply optimization methodologies such as linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and simulation-based approaches to enhance decision-making in supply chain processes, manufacturing, and logistics.
• Develop compelling data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to effectively communicate analytical outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage data science projects comprehensively from initial concept through completion, including project scoping, timeline management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee and maintain analytical models post-deployment, ensuring ongoing performance and reliability.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, providing thought leadership and engaging continuously with business teams to highlight emerging data science opportunities that fuel business growth.

Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in computer science, statistics, operations research, mathematics, or related technical fields.
• At least 5 to 8 years’ experience in statistical or data science roles with strong expertise in machine learning, statistics, and optimization techniques.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL, alongside experience with frameworks such as SparkML, H2O, FlinkML, TensorFlow, Pandas, R, and Matlab.
• Expertise in handling large, complex datasets using modern data platform technologies like Snowflake and distributed processing tools including PySpark.
• Practical knowledge in simulation and optimization modeling tools such as Gurobi.
• Competency in data visualization via Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Excellent communication abilities both written and verbal, with a strong inclination for cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strategic and innovative thinker capable of identifying data-driven business growth opportunities and converting insights into actionable solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead data science projects end-to-end and liaise effectively with business leaders.
