Job Overview

The Data Migration Lead is an integral member of the program team, tasked with overseeing and synchronizing data migration activities across various solution implementation projects. The role ensures a unified, efficient approach to migration efforts while leveraging shared resources at the program level.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive data migration operations encompassing Extraction, Transformation, and Loading processes.
• Identify, document, and validate the scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, and assumptions related to data migration.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects and Business Analysts to define the target data model.
• Develop and validate a robust data migration strategy tailored to project requirements.
• Analyze the scope of data migration spanning diverse source systems.
• Conduct detailed source system data analysis to manage accurate source-to-target data mappings.
• Champion development and adoption of best practices, processes, and standards for effective data migration execution.
• Formulate data migration plans for each solution, partnering with legacy and new system analysts to design and build tools for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, enrichment, loading, and validation.
• Establish and enforce methodologies for data cleansing and de-duplication.
• Engage with key stakeholders and users to detect and resolve data issues following Go-Live.
• Perform post-implementation reviews to assess migration effectiveness and identify improvements.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and environments.
• Expertise in complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques.
• Solid understanding of various database systems.
• Proven experience managing large-scale data migration projects successfully.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer-focused approach aimed at delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision.
