Overview
This position is for a client of Weekday AI and offers a full-time opportunity located in Kolkata, Bangalore, or Chennai. The compensation range is between Rs 15,00,000 and Rs 35,00,000 annually. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years experience in relevant domains.
Key Responsibilities and Role Expectations
The selected individual will apply their expertise in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Metadata Management to uphold the integrity, precision, and regulatory compliance of the organization’s data assets. The role demands sophisticated technical skills paired with comprehensive knowledge of governance standards and retail industry business processes.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies
- Practical experience with Collibra, focusing on data governance and managing metadata.
- Thorough understanding of data lineage tracing, catalog development, and stewardship responsibilities.
- Strong command of data quality frameworks, with proven application in profiling, cleansing, and detecting data anomalies such as duplicates or missing information.
- Advanced SQL skills for executing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and ETL development expertise including data warehousing and data flow architectures.
- Ability to enhance the efficiency of queries and ETL tasks dealing with extensive datasets.
- Competence in scripting—specifically Python or Shell scripting—to automate data validation and quality assurance processes.
Additional Desired Knowledge
- Understanding of key data quality dimensions such as Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Uniqueness, and Validity.
- Experience transforming business requirements into practical data validation and quality rules.
- Familiarity with data governance policies, regulatory compliances such as GDPR, and standards enforcement.
- Capability to perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying data quality issues.
- Skills in preparing dashboards, reports, and metrics to effectively monitor and communicate data quality metrics.
- Insight into retail industry-specific data processes and standard practices.
