Role Overview

We seek a driven and knowledgeable Cleanroom Executive to contribute to the expansion and enhancement of our specialized cleanroom and controlled-environment cleaning operations. This role is hands-on, combining practical cleanroom management, adherence to quality standards, team training, execution of services, and backing business development efforts. The ideal candidate will help formulate cleaning standards, operational protocols, and develop workforce competencies while aiding new contract acquisitions and deployments.

This opportunity suits individuals with backgrounds in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, semiconductor, healthcare, or other controlled environments who desire a more encompassing role in building an expert service offering.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, oversee, and direct cleaning operations within cleanrooms and controlled settings in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs), client specifications, and cleanroom guidelines.
  • Create cleaning procedures tailored to various cleanroom classifications and environmental contexts.
  • Advise on appropriate cleaning equipment, tools, chemicals, and consumable resources.
  • Conduct site evaluations to establish cleaning schedules, staffing plans, and detailed work instructions.
  • Facilitate the launch and implementation of new cleanroom cleaning contracts.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance service quality, cleaning processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Support quality and compliance by aligning procedures with ISO 14644, GMP, and client-specific standards; maintain comprehensive records for audit readiness.
  • Perform routine inspections, manage corrective actions, and assist in resolving cleaning deviations or contamination issues.
  • Collaborate closely with client Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, and Operations teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and competency assessments for cleanroom cleaning personnel, fostering workforce capability development.
  • Engage with business development teams to conduct site surveys, contribute technical insights to tenders and proposals, and stay informed on industry developments in Singapore's relevant sectors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  • Experience: Ideally 3 to 5 years working in cleanrooms or controlled environments, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, medical device, or healthcare contexts.
  • Technical Competence: Strong understanding of ISO 14644 cleanroom concepts, GMP standards, contamination control, and familiarity with cleanroom cleaning tools, chemicals, and methods.
  • Proven ability to create SOPs, work instructions, training content, and conduct personnel competency evaluations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills enabling engagement with frontline staff and clients alike.
  • Comfort with operational site visits and hands-on work environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Work in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
  • Exposure to semiconductor wafer fabrication.
  • Medical device manufacturing involvement.
  • Experience with cleanroom cleaning service providers.
  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom validation and environmental monitoring.
  • Implementation of cleanroom gowning and contamination control programs.
  • Experience in mobilising cleanroom services or project rollouts.

Desired Personal Attributes

We value entrepreneurial initiative and practical involvement. The member of this team will help establish the service capability from foundation—developing SOPs, training modules, conducting site evaluations, supporting tender processes, and managing contract mobilization efforts.
