Role Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Representative to work from our Sydney office on a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with two to three days per week in-office collaboration. This full-time role is pivotal in accelerating pipeline growth within our Commercial and Enterprise sectors by partnering with Sales Directors to engage target accounts and generate qualified leads through personalized outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce qualified sales pipeline by proactive outbound prospecting to targeted accounts.
- Conduct research on accounts, industries, and personas to tailor outreach effectively.
- Collaborate with Sales Directors to devise account strategies and prioritize key opportunities.
- Implement multi-channel outreach campaigns via phone, email, LinkedIn, and video messaging.
- Lead discovery conversations to identify client business challenges, technical issues, and upcoming initiatives.
- Engage with diverse roles including data, analytics, engineering, IT, revenue operations, and executives.
- Maintain precise documentation of activities, contacts, and opportunities in Salesforce.
- Work cross-functionally alongside Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales leadership teams.
- Utilize AI-driven tools and sales technologies to enhance prospecting efficiency and messaging quality.
- Regularly meet or exceed targets related to activity levels, meeting creation, and pipeline growth.
Candidate Profile
- At least 9 months of experience in sales development within SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills capable of engaging technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to comprehend and explain technical concepts surrounding data, analytics, cloud, and AI infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in outbound prospecting and multi-threaded engagement with accounts.
- Strong organizational capabilities for managing numerous accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT and sales engagement platforms for research and productivity.
- Coachable, inquisitive, resilient, and thrives in a high-performance sales environment.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual candidates are welcomed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling solutions to data, analytics, engineering, or IT organizations.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools including Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, or cloud data warehouses.
- Proficiency with platforms such as Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Gong.
- Previous success in rapidly expanding SaaS companies.
- Track record of surpassing outbound pipeline development objectives.
