Azure DevOps Cloud Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer or Senior DevOps Engineer to join a progressive SaaS team focused on an advanced IoT project. This role is pivotal in enhancing the software development lifecycle and supporting core application development through the implementation and management of Azure cloud platforms and containerization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, configure, and administer Azure DevOps environments including repositories, pipelines, and build/release agents to optimize development infrastructure.
• Create, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable frequent and dependable software releases.
• Orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring deployments are scalable, secure, and robust.
• Manage integration between cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure for smooth hybrid cloud operations.
• Administer version control systems inside Azure DevOps, managing repositories, branching, and pull requests to maintain code quality and collaboration.
• Lead release management cycles coordinating between development, QA, and operations to facilitate smooth rollout processes using deployment gates and approval workflows.
• Support Agile project management practices through Azure Boards by assisting teams with sprint planning, task tracking, backlog maintenance, and Kanban management.
• Utilize tracking and reporting tools within Azure DevOps to monitor build, release performance and overall software development health.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure DevOps platforms.
• Extensive expertise with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deployment, management, and scaling of containers.
• Proficient with the architecture and management of complex CI/CD pipelines and build agent configurations.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and practical experience managing Azure Boards for project tracking.
• Excellent collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, quality assurance, and operations, improving workflows and enforcing source control standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing or migrating hybrid cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure is advantageous.
