ASAP Developer

Overview

This role seeks an experienced ASAP Consulting Subject Matter Expert to specialize as an OSS Activation consultant. The position offers exposure to multiple Oracle Communications OSS Stack products, focusing on activation system management.

Responsibilities

• Execute ASAP 7.2.0 and 7.3 activation system implementations, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Manage ASAP installations and upgrades from version 7.0 to later releases in complex production environments.
• Configure ASAP to support Database RAC setups and oversee database and WebLogic Server patch management.
• Utilize OCA and OCA Client Templates effectively and conduct various testing methods on orders within ASAP.
• Monitor Oracle ASAP application and associated server performance metrics.
• Design, develop, and test ASAP cartridges using Oracle Design Studio; deploy changes accordingly.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve failed order issues; review existing cartridge implementations.
• Deploy new features, revise existing functionalities, and remove outdated components as necessary.
• Operate proficiently in UNIX/Linux environments including scripting with Unix Shell.
• Apply knowledge in Java, SQL, XML, and web services technologies.
• Support provisioning operations in small to mid-size mobile telecom companies.
• Communicate effectively with clients and handle customer interactions professionally.
• Adapt to shift patterns, specifically IST noon to 9 PM (EST 2:30 AM to 11:30 PM).
• Build and deploy completed code into development and testing environments.
• Collaborate efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Eligibility and Education

Applicants should have completed a BE/BTech/MCA/MTech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications fields.
