About the Internship
This internship offers an opportunity to engage in the design and development of battery packs using multimodular approaches. The role involves collaboration with multiple internal teams including design-development, manufacturing, and supply chain, to support battery pack production scale-up. Duties also include coordinating with testing authorities such as ICAT and ARAI for product certifications, along with research and development of innovative battery solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design battery packs incorporating multimodular architecture.
- Work closely with cross-departmental teams including design-development, manufacturing, and supply chain units.
- Support manufacturing and processing teams in ramping up battery production.
- Coordinate with certification agencies like ICAT and ARAI to ensure compliance.
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of new battery products.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be available for a full-time, in-office internship.
- Can commence the internship between August 11, 2026, and September 15, 2026.
- Committed to a six-month internship duration.
- Have relevant skills, interests, and be a student of Mechanical Engineering.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, or Catia V5.
- Understanding of battery cell chemistries including NMC, NCA, and LFP.
- Solid grasp of thermodynamics principles.
- Experience in structural and thermal management design for battery packs and auxiliary systems.
- Knowledge of passive and active cooling mechanisms for batteries.
- Strong technical decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Participation in engineering competitions like Baja SAE or Formula SAE is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly stipend ranging from INR 20,000 to 25,000.
