Supervisor-Recreation (Saudi only)

Position Overview

This role involves planning and promoting recreational activities at a premier hotel location in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia. The supervisor will manage schedules, guest registrations, and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop recreational activity schedules and related advertisements using publishing software.
• Conduct regular inventories of supplies and equipment, reporting shortages to management.
• Encourage guest participation by recruiting, registering, and scheduling recreation activities.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that promotes relaxation and fun for all guests.
• Provide information regarding available recreation facilities and their activities.
• Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines to protect guests and staff.
• Monitor activities for emergencies; provide assistance until professional help arrives.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of recreational equipment.
• Assist management with staff training, motivation, and act as a positive role model.
• Report accidents and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure adherence to company policies including a professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Provide excellent customer service, including assistance to guests with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally, including telephone etiquette.
• Develop and sustain positive working relationships internally and externally.
• Process customer orders and handle payments accurately.
• Promote quality standards and recommend improvements to enhance organizational operations.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment and verify information accurately in various formats.
• Required physical activities include standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds independently, and heavier loads with assistance, navigating confined spaces and uneven surfaces.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in recreation or similar field.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of recreation and fitness equipment.
• Compliance with any local or state certification requirements applicable to the role.
