Role Summary
This role seeks a dynamic Software Engineer skilled primarily in the .NET framework with additional embedded systems experience using C/C++. The engineer will contribute within small teams of 5 to 7 members, handling the full software lifecycle from requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment through to support. The position emphasizes strong task planning, risk management, and modern development methodology expertise including Git workflows and DevSecOps toolchains.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing software solutions across modern technology stacks, focusing on .NET and embedded C/C++ where applicable.
- Participating in all phases of software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Managing technical risks and planning tasks effectively within lean team environments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and mission-critical software delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Proficient in C# and .NET technologies with solid experience.
- Have tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Possess at least two years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of databases, scripting languages, embedded programming, or cloud platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in complex scenarios.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to NV1 level.
