Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage planning and scheduling activities interfacing among the Client, Project Management Team (PMT), Worley Project Controls, engineering groups, and multiple contractors supporting the Integrated PDH-PP Plants project.
- Collaborate closely with Client and Worley Project Controls to facilitate effective planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting throughout all project stages.
- Evaluate contractor and consultant baseline schedules, periodic updates, upcoming work schedules, forecasts, mitigation strategies, and recovery plans to ensure alignment with project execution strategy, contract obligations, and crucial milestones.
- Administer and routinely update the Level 1 Client Master Schedule by consolidating contractor timelines and ensuring visibility of key dependencies, interfaces, and milestones.
- Track and analyze project-wide progress and performance across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and related activities.
- Scrutinize and verify contractor progress data, forecasts, and projected completion dates including performing earned value and schedule performance assessments against approved baselines and objectives.
- Identify potential scheduling risks, critical and near-critical paths, constraints, delays, and interferences, recommending proactive mitigation measures and corrective actions.
- Compile and consolidate weekly and monthly progress and performance summaries, including schedule trend forecasts and essential planning information for the Client, PMT, and project leadership.
- Assist in validating contractor progress including measurements, reported quantities, and reviewing progress claims and payment applications where necessary.
- Participate in planning, progress, schedule review, and coordination meetings ensuring planning/reporting activities align with project procedures, contract requirements, Client expectations, and Worley standards.
- Provide planning expertise in analyzing contractor Extension of Time (EOT) requests and claims to support PMT and Client in assessment and resolution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Proven expertise in planning, scheduling, and project controls especially within oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, industrial infrastructure, or downstream project sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in PMC, PMT, EPC, or large capital projects covering Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC phases.
- Advanced skills in Primavera P6 for creating, reviewing, and analyzing baseline schedules, updated plans, look-ahead strategies, recovery plans, and critical path assessments.
- Strong grounding in project controls including progress tracking, earned value management, forecasting, schedule performance analysis, and reporting techniques.
- Experience assessing and challenging contractor schedules, progress reports, forecasts, and recovery schemes involving multiple contractors and work packages.
- Knowledge of delay impact analyses, Extension of Time evaluations, and schedule-based claims assessments considered beneficial.
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and interface operations within complex industrial projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and project reporting applications; skills with EcoSys and Power BI are advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, proficient in collaboration with Clients, PMT, Worley teams, and contractors.
- Fluent English communication skills—oral and written.
- Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia or Middle Eastern environments is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalents are preferred.
