Opportunity Overview

Join Avantor as a Material Controller stationed onsite in Ringaskiddy, Cork. This role involves overseeing daily inventory and material management activities within a laboratory setting, providing critical support to scientific operations to ensure smooth and timely material flow that aligns with customer business requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute stock handling duties in strict adherence to GMP standards.
• Maintain precise inventory records and ensure materials are replenished without delay.
• Support laboratory operations by monitoring and managing material availability and flow.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc material requests, liaising with suppliers as necessary.
• Operate relevant equipment while complying fully with all site and regulatory protocols.
• Complete routine administrative tasks connected to stock control and compliance documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Completion of Leaving Certificate or equivalent education; a Bachelor's degree is preferable.
• Proven work experience in warehouse, retail, hospitality, inventory management or similar sectors.
• A positive demeanor and strong work ethic, coupled with knowledge of warehousing terminology and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, able to manage tasks independently and in a fast-paced setting.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position with a 37.5 hour work week, on a single shift basis; no weekend duties.
