IRD Order Taker

Position Overview

At W Hotels, the IRD Order Taker role is not merely about processing meal orders; it encompasses creating a memorable dining experience for guests. As a Guest Service Expert, you will engage proactively to deliver a spectrum of services that enhance the enjoyment of meals, including setting tables, communicating effectively with kitchen staff, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas and supplies. Every action is designed to integrate transactions seamlessly into the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities and Physical Requirements

• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
• Uphold quality standards through professional appearance, uniform, and communication.
• Be active and mobile during shifts, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Manage menu information by reading and verifying details visually.
• Perform manual tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Execute physical movements such as reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as required.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support guest satisfaction and business needs.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: Less than one year of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• No supervisory experience or certifications/licenses required.
