About the Role
A prominent insurer based in Auckland is looking for an Integration Developer to enhance their development team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of applications, APIs, integrations, and related services to drive seamless integration across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and test integration solutions including APIs using modern technology stacks like Java/Spring Boot and Node.js.
- Integrate software platforms such as Salesforce and other SaaS business systems.
- Develop automated testing frameworks including unit, integration, and regression tests where applicable.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce high standards of code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Support software releases by assisting with deployments, smoke testing, validation, and monitoring post-release performance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues effectively.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure solutions are deployable and operationally robust.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives in delivery processes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in software development or integration-focused roles.
- Proven expertise in creating RESTful APIs, integrations, and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong programming skills using Java with Spring Boot and/or Node.js frameworks.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, automated deployments, and collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of secure coding standards and version control practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity and comfort with AI-assisted development and testing tools.
