Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join our Operations Team at our Portsmouth office. This full-time position operates during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The role focuses on managing import shipments via sea and air freight, with an emphasis on sea freight and customs clearance procedures. The position is office-based.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Handling sea and air import shipments from the initial quotation through to delivery.
- Managing custom clearance processes for import cargo effectively.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines alongside a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in general freight forwarding, particularly with sea freight import shipments.
- Strong communication abilities and keen attention to detail.
- A positive, proactive approach with a can-do attitude.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Boxtop and Descartes freight forwarding software.
- Capability to use CNS/Destin8 systems.
