About the Role

Join the University of Auckland as a Graphic Design Manager, leading the institution-wide graphic design function to reinforce and energize the University's brand through compelling visual experiences. This permanent full-time position offers a hybrid working model, combining on-site presence with remote work flexibility. The salary ranges between $98,700 and $133,500 annually, aligned with Band H, depending on your experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a skilled graphic design team to produce top-notch creative outputs that enhance brand perception.
• Collaborate closely with the Brand Manager and university stakeholders to transform strategic priorities into effective visual communications.
• Drive improvements in design quality, brand consistency, accessibility, and overall creative standards.
• Develop and nurture a culture emphasizing creative excellence within the team.
• Manage design resources, workflows, and priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing creative or graphic design teams.
• Expertise in delivering and quality reviewing both print and digital designs that strictly adhere to brand guidelines.
• Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders and external vendors.
• Demonstrated history of enhancing creative processes, systems, and services with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility.
