Job description
Overview
This position is with a McDonald's restaurant managed by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee operates as a separate employer responsible for all employment-related decisions, including hiring, firing, and scheduling.
The General Manager role involves leading the restaurant to profitability while ensuring top standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness are consistently met. This role demands working collaboratively with Department Managers by setting goals, coaching, and overseeing their progress to enhance overall restaurant performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Own the financial performance and day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Lead and support Department Managers to set and achieve departmental targets.
- Provide direction and coaching to improve departmental and overall restaurant outcomes.
- Hire and develop Department and Shift Managers to maintain a strong leadership team.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably has prior experience as a General Manager, particularly managing high-volume restaurant locations.
- Background in quick service restaurants is highly desired, with hospitality or retail experience considered valuable.
- Must be at least 18 years old for management eligibility at corporate-owned restaurants.
