Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to remotely lead a development team focused on building advanced large language models through supervised fine tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback. This full-time position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge AI technology globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and guide technical teams exceeding 20 developers skilled in Python, JavaScript, Java, and other languages to ensure timely and effective task execution.
- Work closely with research clients to guarantee satisfaction with project deliverables.
- Implement and uphold stringent review processes to achieve superior dataset quality.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, taking responsibility for successful transitions from initiation through to stable operation.
- Proactively introduce improvements to enhance code quality within the development team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 8 years in professional software engineering roles, including over 3 years in engineering management capacities.
- Demonstrated success managing sizable technical teams in delivery-focused environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Python, Java, and JavaScript programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on detecting and remedying technical quality concerns.
- Proven leadership abilities centered on team motivation and people management.
