Overview

Join the team at Pomeroy Lodging's Kananaskis Mountain Lodge located in the scenic Canadian Rockies, about an hour from Calgary. This permanent full-time Dishwasher position offers an hourly pay of $17.50 with opportunities for overtime paid at time and a half. Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean chinaware, glassware, and utensils.
• Sort and wash cutlery properly and ensure correct storage of all tableware and kitchen items.
• Use and store cleaning chemicals safely according to protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing and surrounding areas, sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Handle items carefully to minimize breakage and maintain safety standards.
• Wash and store pots and pans appropriately.
• Report any safety hazards promptly and contribute to accident prevention.
• Assist in setting up event functions, including arranging plates and chafing dishes as required.
• Maintain effective communication with kitchen and service departments.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Energetic and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to health and safety compliance.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Capable of shift work including night shifts.
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods ranging from 6 to over 10 hours per shift.
• Frequent movement between kitchen, dish areas, and storage spaces.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as scrubbing, rinsing, and loading/unloading dish machines.
• Lift and carry heavy items such as pots, pans, trays, dish racks, and garbage bags.
• Push and pull loaded dish racks and carts.
• Bend, twist, reach overhead and to lower shelves.
• Work in hot, humid environments exposed to steam and cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain speed and efficiency in a busy, high-volume setting during peak periods.
