Cyber Intelligence Analyst

Overview

CyberCX, an Accenture company, is a leading provider of cybersecurity professional services across Australia and New Zealand. We are expanding our dedicated cyber intelligence unit focused on the regional cyber threat environment. As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will join a high-caliber team with extensive insight into cyber threats affecting the region. Your role will involve offering real-time intelligence support for major cyber incidents, delivering threat data to guide security teams internally and for clients, and generating assessments that contribute to protecting communities and organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor global cyber threats, highlighting those with regional implications such as exploited vulnerabilities and pertinent threat indicators for active intervention.
• Gather, verify, and interpret information from a variety of secure and open sources aligned with the team's intelligence needs, with a particular focus on developments relevant to the Australian and New Zealand context and adversary tactics.
• Produce well-researched, punctual briefing papers and analyses to aid in the creation of multiple deliverables, including responses to requests for information, case studies, profiles of threat actors, security advisories, and organisational threat reports.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external clients to obtain analytical and technical data, understand their intelligence goals, present assessments effectively, and gather feedback to improve services.
• Assist with general project tasks and support customer engagements as required.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the aptitude to detect patterns in varied data sources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to create clear, well-structured intelligence products.
• Experience and solid knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, evidenced by at least one of the following:
  • Between 1 to 3 years in a related role
  • Relevant industry certifications such as SANS FOR578 or SEC599
  • Familiarity with established threat intelligence frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, CIA Triad, or the Diamond Model
• Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, international security, or a related discipline.
• Desirable: Active AGSVA security clearance or the readiness and capability to acquire one.
