Job description
Job Summary
This role involves courteous and efficient pickup and delivery of packages on a designated route while ensuring shipments comply with Federal Express Canada service standards. Related customer service duties are also essential.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages as heavy as 150 lbs using the proper equipment.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused business environment.
- Successful completion of a mandatory pre-employment driver assessment with minimum passing scores.
- Familiarity with Federal Express Canada processes and Canadian Customs regulations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressured conditions.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and holidays as per operational requirements.
- If located in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position working Tuesday through Saturday starting at 10:15 AM, operating on a 5-day, 8-hour schedule. The job requires competence in Windows PC environments and the ability to complete ongoing training and accreditations when necessary. All driver candidates must have a license class appropriate for driving duties (e.g., Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]) and a clean driving record with no more than two violations or accidents within the last 24 months. Applicants will also undergo driver abstract verification, interviews, and competency assessments.
