Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid expansion with new store launches and innovative business channels such as Click and Collect and marketplaces.

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager for Visual Merchandising will play a vital role in overseeing Sephora Collection's visual merchandising standards across the region. This includes ensuring consistent in-store brand representation, managing regional visual merchandising plans, and driving merchandising initiatives aligned with brand goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regional visual merchandising efforts to ensure uniform brand execution.
  • Collaborate with Category Senior Manager on assortment and display to enhance customer experience and maximize profit per meter.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate merchandising projects relative to category goals; propose creative strategies to increase brand visibility and sales impact.
  • Oversee management and timely execution of seasonal planograms across countries.
  • Coordinate grid procurement and deployment processes to ensure efficient store updates.
  • Translate planograms into space planning compatible formats for all launch cycles and regions.
  • Work with global teams to adapt planograms suited to Southeast Asia’s configurations and assortments.
  • Manage all regional fixtures and develop new ones exclusive to the SEA market.
  • Ensure timely fixture updates and accurate forecasting based on the merchandising calendar.
  • Guide country VM teams and vendors in validating design proposals and confirming adherence to Sephora’s technical and brand guidelines.
  • Oversee brand fixture and merchandising for new stores and season updates in SEA, Oceania, and future regional expansions.
  • Collaborate with countries and suppliers for fixture orders in new store openings.
  • Distribute fixture quotations to countries for budgeting and process tracking.
  • Drive best practice reviews with country VM teams and supervise in-store implementation quality.
  • Evaluate vendor work execution regularly to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Negotiate and support VM fixture designs and installations in partnership with global teams when necessary.
  • Ensure countries have correct fixtures and elements for new store openings and support innovative store concept initiatives.
  • Maintain regional fixture update and maintenance compliance by countries.
  • Monitor effective VM asset usage and ensure required changes by countries are implemented.
  • Generate management reports summarizing executed initiatives.
  • Work closely with country VM teams and Sephora Collection Marketing to enhance merchandising standardization and in-store animations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ professional experience in visual merchandising, design, or store project management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Degree or diploma in design, arts, or retail merchandising.
  • Experience working regionally (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships effectively.
  • Proven capability to manage projects independently and achieve results.
