AI Security Analyst

Role Overview

We are partnering with a forward-thinking technology organisation seeking an AI Security Analyst who will operate at the crossroads of security and AI engineering. This role involves ensuring security considerations are integral throughout the lifecycle of large language models (LLMs) and AI-based tools, collaborating closely with AI Engineers from initial design to deployment.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments on LLMs and AI tools before and during their implementation, focusing on data management, model behaviors, and risks associated with third-party AI services.
• Collaborate intensively with AI Engineers during the development phases to embed security requirements within AI system designs rather than addressing security post-development.
• Execute and analyze static application security testing (SAST) and dynamic application security testing (DAST) across a broad application portfolio, not limited to AI systems, managing findings and coordinating remediation efforts with development teams.
• Identify AI-specific vulnerabilities and potential misuse tactics, including prompt injections, data exposures, and insecure access to AI resources.
• Stay informed of the rapidly evolving AI security threat landscape and continuously integrate this knowledge into internal security standards and testing methodologies.
• Create clear, accessible documentation of findings and risk evaluations tailored for both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders.

• Professional experience in application security with practical use of SAST and DAST tools.
• A strong interest in AI/LLM security and capability to engage effectively with AI Engineers on technical security design considerations.
• Analytical skills that enable assessing emerging AI-related security risks without relying solely on pre-existing frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex security insights and recommendations in an understandable and actionable manner.
