Responsibilities
- Implement Cisco UCS domains by deploying fabric interconnects, chassis, blade servers, and rack servers.
- Configure and manage UCS Manager for seamless operations.
- Create and maintain service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and manage firmware updates within the UCS environment.
- Perform backups and restoration of UCS configurations to ensure data integrity and quick recovery.
- Standardize server hardware configurations including CPU, RAM, and RAID setups.
- Set up and configure VMware ESXi hosts and vCenters, particularly with vSphere versions 7 and 8.
- Offer Level 3 support for UCS-related technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution and operational continuity.
- Conduct operational validations and routine health checks to maintain system reliability.
Requirements
- Experience with deploying and managing Cisco UCS environments including fabric interconnects, chassis, and servers.
- Proficiency in configuring UCS Manager and handling service profiles, policies, and firmware updates.
- Ability to backup and restore UCS configurations efficiently.
- Competence in standardizing server specs such as CPU, RAM, and RAID configurations.
- Hands-on knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter configuration, especially vSphere 7 and 8.
- Capability to provide at least Level 2 support, preferably Level 3, for UCS-related challenges.
- Skills in conducting operational validations and performing health checks of IT infrastructure.
