The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) position is a career-oriented role designed to equip you for future leadership as a CVS Store Manager. Over 16 weeks, you will engage in a self-paced, collaborative training program that combines virtual lessons alongside practical hands-on experiences.

Your growth is supported by a team comprising your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach, all dedicated to developing your leadership skills.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to guide and support your team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels.
• Implement merchandising strategies aimed at driving store sales growth.
• Oversee inventory and store assets to safeguard profitability.

Expectations and Program Participation

• Engage actively with your leaders during Key Learning Experiences designed to prepare you for promotion.
• Participate as a member of the store management team, leading in full alignment with CVS values and policies.
• Inspire and motivate your colleagues in advancing the company’s mission of helping individuals improve their health.
• Be open to accepting promotions within the designated market area.

Note that selection for the SMIT program does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager; advancement depends on performance and availability of positions.

Additional Requirements and Conditions

• Willingness to accept a Store Manager promotion at any location within the designated market.
• Flexibility to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy locations in the market.
• Availability to work schedules that may vary based on business demands.
• Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or GED required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may substitute.
• Prior retail management experience or CVS supervisory experience is beneficial.

Working Hours and Compensation

This full-time position is based on approximately 45 hours per week.

The typical hourly pay range is $18.50 to $23.88, varying based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
