Solution Architect – Java Full Stack (Microservices)

Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Solution Architect specializing in Java Full Stack with a focus on Microservices. In this role, you will lead the design of secure, scalable, and resilient fintech software solutions built for global reach and high availability. You will influence technology strategy, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure robust delivery across Java/Spring Boot backend services and React/Angular frontend interfaces within cloud-native ecosystems, including Azure, Kubernetes, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).

Key Responsibilities

• Architect software solutions that meet business needs while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop technology strategy collaboratively with product stakeholders overseeing one or multiple products.
• Collaborate with senior technical and product leaders to establish impactful design decisions.
• Partner with global solution architecture and engineering groups to define and uphold architectural principles and best practices.
• Coordinate with broader technical and architecture teams to align initiatives with organizational goals.
• Evaluate and validate technical alternatives leveraging both current and emerging technologies.
• Lead implementation efforts using microservices architecture tailored for fintech applications.
• Mentor development teams to enhance technical excellence and encourage continuous process improvement.
• Work alongside product owners and operations teams to ensure seamless start-to-finish project delivery.
• Promote agile methodologies and nurture a cooperative and collaborative team environment.
• Engage in hands-on activities such as building prototypes and resolving complex technical issues.
• Advocate for high-quality technical standards and durable solution designs for long-term success.

Required Qualifications

• Substantial experience with product engineering focused on scalable software architectures, including at least 5 years in an architect capacity.
• Strong grounding in computer science principles, with expertise in web applications, services, and microservices architecture.
• Proven ability to design high-transaction financial systems with global scale demands and requirements for exceptional uptime.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS, and frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Advanced skills in backend development utilizing Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience implementing large-scale database solutions using PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and platforms including PCF, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
• Effective working style in agile environments emphasizing collaboration and iterative development.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team capabilities for ongoing technical growth.
• Comfortable providing hands-on support for prototype creation and tackling sophisticated business-driven technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills capable of bridging technical and business perspectives.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Deep experience with J2EE technologies, RESTful API design and implementation, React, and Angular frameworks.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate ORM.
• Understanding of API management tools and practices for scaling large API ecosystems.
• Familiarity with cloud and DevOps architectural concepts, especially using Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or NoSQL database technologies.
