Role Overview
The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead digital transformation and cloud-centric initiatives designed to advance organizational capabilities and operational efficiency. This role demands managing key project aspects such as scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation while ensuring alignment with company goals.
The role requires collaboration with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors using established methodologies like Agile and Waterfall to successfully deliver cloud, digital transformation, and technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project delivery activities throughout the full lifecycle of large-scale technology and transformation projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise project phases from initiation to implementation and transition into operational status.
- Engage with stakeholders to enable informed decision-making through comprehensive analysis, reports, and actionable recommendations.
- Track project priorities, dependencies, potential risks, and benefits to ensure successful outcomes.
- Escalate critical decisions and risks following established governance protocols.
- Apply project management methodologies tailored to organizational and operational needs.
- Champion continuous improvement in project delivery standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Share expertise and promote knowledge transfer within the wider project management team.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record managing large-scale technology, cloud, digital transformation, or data-related projects.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Waterfall, or mixed project delivery frameworks.
- Strong abilities in managing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.
- Effective collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in preparing project reports, governance materials, and executive updates.
- Experience supporting organizational change management and adoption activities.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Azure Synapse environments.
- Capability to translate business objectives into clear, measurable project outcomes.
Preferred Credentials
- Certifications such as PRINCE2®, PMP, PMBOK, or SAFe.
- Advanced qualifications or diplomas in Project Management or related disciplines.
- Background in public sector project delivery.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Knowledge of using Copilot features for Power BI.
