About Livbnb and the Role
Join Livbnb as a Senior Odoo Developer and play a key role in transforming holiday home management through innovative technology solutions. This full-time onsite role based in Dubai involves leading the complete design, development, and rollout of an advanced Odoo 19 Enterprise platform that supports processes ranging from owner onboarding, guest bookings, check-in/out to maintenance and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end customized Odoo modules to manage the full lifecycle of properties and guests.
- Design scalable Odoo architectures and optimize ORM data models and central record structures based on cross-department needs.
- Execute full-stack development covering clean Python code for models, workflows, controllers, integrations, along with creating UI/UX using Odoo's Form, List, Kanban views, QWeb reports, and portal pages.
- Implement robust external integrations including webhook handlers and adapters for channel management systems, WhatsApp Business API, and payment gateways ensuring idempotency.
- Manage DevOps tasks such as improving platform performance, enforcing security protocols, implementing CI/CD automated testing pipelines, working with Git workflows, and handling Docker-based deployments.
- Lead peer code reviews, document system architecture, provide mentorship to developers, and collaborate with business development, operations, finance, and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years in software development with a minimum of 3 years focused on Odoo development.
- Proficient with Odoo ORM functionalities including decorators like @api.depends and @api.constrains, Python 3 programming, PostgreSQL database management, XML view creation, QWeb reporting, and Odoo security models (ir.rule, access groups).
- Experienced in production Odoo deployment using Docker, CI/CD pipeline setup, Git version control, and automated testing techniques (TransactionCase, SavepointCase). Familiarity with AWS or Odoo.sh is advantageous.
- Skilled in designing REST API integrations, implementing idempotent webhooks, and understanding security and authentication standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English, and proficient in Agile/Scrum development practices.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of real estate, hospitality, or property management industry domains.
- Hands-on with Odoo Enterprise modules such as Sign, Documents, Approvals, Field Service, Project Management, and Maintenance.
- Experience with application monitoring/observability tools like Sentry, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Contributions to Odoo Community Association (OCA), portal/website customization, messaging, or payment integration projects.
