About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Python Developer based in Mississauga, Canada, to take charge of data processing, engineering, and ETL development activities using a variety of technologies including Python, PySpark, Oracle, MongoDB, Hive, and Spark.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive data processing, data engineering, and ETL tasks leveraging Python and big data technologies.
- Create and refine solutions to efficiently handle and optimize the processing of large-scale data sets.
- Utilize strong programming expertise to develop scalable, high-performance data processing systems.
Required Expertise
- In-depth knowledge and advanced skills in Python programming with robust core Python capabilities.
- Experience at an advanced level with PySpark and Spark for data processing and engineering tasks.
- Proficient in using Pandas and SQL/Oracle to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Intermediate experience with NumPy for scientific computing requirements.
- Hands-on familiarity with big data platforms and processing tools including Oracle, MongoDB, and Hive.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to apply advanced optimization methods for handling very large data volumes efficiently.
