Job description
Role Overview
Oversee the execution of assigned IT project portfolios adhering to established project management methodologies aimed at achieving project objectives and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of multiple IT projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
- Establish and nurture effective collaboration across departments and stakeholders for seamless project completion.
- Lead vendor communication and engagement to satisfy contractual commitments from all parties.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts within IT to track and advance project progress.
- Communicate project updates, challenges, and relevant details to management and team members proactively.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including initiation, status, and closure reports in a timely fashion.
- Mitigate risks by managing project scope and identifying potential issues early.
- Facilitate team and client meetings to maintain focus and align objectives.
- Address personnel challenges effectively with discretion, in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Have a deep understanding of system architecture and limitations to support decision-making and problem resolution.
- Provide accurate and timely reports and information to auditors and compliance teams as required.
- Ensure all project-related sensitive information is secured and confidentiality is maintained according to group policies.
- Pursue continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or master’s is advantageous.
- At least eight years managing IT projects within banking and financial services sectors.
- Additional certifications in systems technology, management, or banking are beneficial.
