Job Overview
Fortescue invites applications for experienced Dry Plant Mining Process Operators at its Solomon mine, situated on the traditional territories of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples near Perth, Western Australia. The role follows a 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off roster traveling from Perth.
Key Duties
- Safely and efficiently operate ore processing plants and stockyard systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on crushing plants and related machinery.
- Collaborate regularly with management to meet production targets.
- Contribute positively within a team-focused environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in iron ore processing operations is mandatory.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high safety standards in line with company values.
- Possession of working at heights certification is advantageous.
- Proficient in handling large-scale crushing, screening, and processing equipment such as MMD sizers, cone crushers, conveyors, and related components.
- Experience managing stackers, reclaimers, and stockpile operations.
- Skilled in operating systems like SCADA, Citect, Simplicity, and Meridian.
