Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer specializing in AI to drive the technical direction of our products and platform. This role requires leadership across multiple projects and squads, steering architectural strategies while collaborating deeply with engineering and client delivery teams. Ideal candidates excel in ambiguous, high-stakes environments, and are passionate about impactful, novel AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and influence architectural frameworks for AI Co-Worker systems that empower enterprise clients to deploy persona-driven AI workers capable of complex operational workflows within secure platforms.
• Design human-in-the-loop AI architectures ensuring human oversight in mission-critical applications.
• Establish technical standards and development patterns for engineering teams.
• Innovate methods for integrating deterministic and non-deterministic AI components in production systems.
• Maintain platform neutrality by supporting integration of diverse LLMs and AI frameworks from both established and emerging providers.
• Collaborate closely with customers to thoroughly understand their requirements, ensuring delivered solutions surpass expectations.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 10 years in software development with significant practical AI experience.
• Strong programming skills, with primary use of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience working with AI frameworks and orchestration tools such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Expertise in developing systems where security and data governance are prioritized in design, not appended later.
• Proven success in directing and defending architectural choices in complex, live production environments.
• Exceptional communication skills capable of bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding challenging decisions.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and dedication to follow-through on complex problems.
