Job Opportunity
RSGx is expanding and seeking skilled HV Cable Jointers to contribute to vital energy, renewable, and utility projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. This role involves working under an ETU Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) performing high-voltage cable jointing activities.
Primary Duties
- Performing HV cable jointing and terminations on systems up to 33kV.
- Completing all tasks in line with established safety and industry standards.
- Executing fault detection and resolving issues on HV cable networks.
- Keeping detailed and accurate records of all work carried out.
- Following all company and site-specific safety protocols rigorously.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is dependable and skilled, showing initiative and effectively managing their workload while contributing to successful project completions. A strong emphasis on safety, quality, and ongoing improvement is vital.
- Demonstrable experience in HV cable jointing.
- Certificate III in ESI Distribution Cable Jointing is highly preferred.
- Experience with HSL and PILC cables is an advantage.
- Knowledge of VLF cable testing techniques is beneficial.
- A Grade Electrician license is desirable.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Proven strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- VESI accreditation is highly desirable.
- Possession of high-risk work tickets is favorable.
