About the Role

Green by Nature is seeking skilled Gardeners for permanent full-time positions based at the depot in Port Melbourne. This role involves hands-on maintenance across impressive sites within the City of Port Phillip. The position operates Monday to Friday with full Personal Protective Equipment and uniforms supplied.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out gardening tasks including hedging, weeding, pruning, planting, and mulching.
• Operate various hand and petrol-powered tools such as hedgers, blowers, whipper snippers, push mowers, and ride-on equipment safely and under supervision.
• Load and unload plants, materials, and equipment from vehicles.
• Keep workspaces, tools, and equipment clean and organised.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment for yourself and colleagues.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to high-quality task completion. Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or related fields is highly valued. A Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, or equivalent qualification is preferred. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and possess or be willing to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check. The role demands physical capability to safely lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team is essential.
