ELD Specialist

Position Overview

A partner company is seeking an ELD Specialist located in Saudi Arabia to join their team remotely. This role involves providing essential technical support and compliance assistance related to Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) used in transportation operations. The specialist will serve as a crucial resource for drivers, dispatchers, and fleet management by facilitating quick resolution of ELD problems and ensuring adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-level technical assistance for issues relating to ELD hardware, software, and connectivity, guiding end users through troubleshooting methods.
• Assist drivers, dispatchers, and fleet staff with ELD inquiries, ensuring prompt, professional, and accurate handling of concerns.
• Continuously monitor ELD data to detect compliance exceptions and compile reports necessary for safety audits and regulatory compliance, particularly FMCSA standards.
• Conduct training for drivers, dispatchers, and internal personnel on ELD utilization, Hours of Service regulations, proper electronic log maintenance, and compliance best practices.
• Coordinate with ELD vendors and internal IT teams to document, report, and escalate persistent technical problems for resolution.
• Maintain updated expertise concerning federal and state ELD regulations, helping guarantee operational compliance amid regulatory changes.
• Support ongoing enhancement of ELD-related procedures, compliance tracking, reporting, and support mechanisms.
• Promote a culture of safety, operational reliability, and adherence to regulations across transportation processes while adapting to technological and legal updates.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of one year practical experience with ELD systems or related technologies within trucking, logistics, transport, or an equivalent sector.
• Solid knowledge of FMCSA ELD and Hours of Service regulations.
• Proven troubleshooting skills capable of diagnosing ELD problems and assisting users in practical problem-solving.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and oral, with a professional, customer-oriented demeanor.
• Effective organizational and prioritization skills allowing management of multiple queries in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with leading ELD vendors, telematics platforms, and related technologies is advantageous.
• Experience in preparing compliance, safety, or incident reports related to ELDs is a plus.
• Previous involvement in training adults or supporting driver training efforts adds value.
• Bi- or multilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while collaborating across dispersed teams.
